CA-RIO-CA Runway Show to Benefit APAIT

Last month, CA-RIO-CA took part in a very special runway show as part of LA Fashion Week to benefit APAIT. The organization is LA-based, and serves people living with HIV/AIDS who are medically underserved.

Our models for this show were Asaf Goren, Jake Mast, Matt Young, Andrew Ley, Simon Sherry-Wood, Jason Batra, Charles Bilgrien, Thiago Lusardi, Kevin Johnson, and Gamzat Luguer.

Cangas, an essential for the beach, are a lightweight alternative to the beach towel—and, might we add, so much better looking! We kicked things off with a brand new design that’s a sleek black with our signature logo printed in white, green, yellow, blue, orange, and purple all over.

Few things look better than a sunga, especially a sexy black one. In addition to the new additions we’ve added to our lineup this season, we’ve also showcased the classics in our Preto/Black Men’s Swimming Sunga. This is a wardrobe staple, and looks incredible on everybody (especially when paired with a set of aviators!).

One of our latest and greatest new styles made it onto the runway with a sense of flair that made a stunning impression. This classic sunga features a design that’s reminiscent of grunge and high-tech concepts, with its black background and yellow, teal, white, and gray cosmic-style accents.

Another of our new designs brings a touch of whimsy to a geometric print that has a bit of an oceanic inspiration. Alternating blue, turquoise, and cyan waves line the sunga, with contrasting multi-layer circles. Take a little slice of the beach with you no matter where you wear it!

Another solid we featured, which is new to us, comes in a lively shade of key lime. This men’s swimwear is the perfect shade to fight off the winter blues, and is just what the doctor ordered for springtime.

We’ve added a classic retro design to our lineup, along with just the right touch of athleisure, in this crisp white sunga with vertical blue stripes on the hip. The stripes create a blocked gradient effect, with navy, royal, and cerulean. Our model is wearing our CA-RIO-CA Men’s Tank Top in royal blue.

Our boardies lovers will want to slip into one of our latest looks, a tropical print thigh-length board short. The shorts are a bold shade of yellow with silhouetted palm trees in orange. If long walks on the beach are what you crave, this style encompasses that craving to perfection.

We can’t get enough of our Tapes sunga (and can you blame us?), which was also featured on the runway. A collection of day-glo mix tapes creates a cool geometric pattern on this swimwear, in the perfect blend of orange, red, lime, turquoise and black.
